The Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) introduces new cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements across the European Union. Many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are currently assessing how these obligations will affect their products, internal processes and available resources.
With the Cyber Resilience Act (CRA) introducing new cybersecurity requirements for products with digital elements, many small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are currently assessing how these obligations will affect their products, processes and resources.
To better understand these challenges, partners of the SECURE – Strengthening EU SMEs Cyber Resilience project have launched a short survey addressed to SMEs across Europe.
Why this survey matters for SMEs?
The CRA will apply to a wide range of companies, including many SMEs that may not yet have dedicated cybersecurity or compliance structures in place. At the same time, European and national initiatives are being developed to provide guidance, training and funding opportunities.
The aim of this survey is to ensure that these measures are aligned with real SME needs, rather than based on assumptions.
By participating, SMEs help to:
- assess the current level of cybersecurity and CRA across different sectors,
- identify concrete challenges related to CRA compliance,
- determine which types of guidance, tools and financial support are most valuable,
- and shape future training and support activities developed within the SECURE project.
The results will directly inform the design of practical, SME-oriented support measures in the coming months.
Who should take part?
The survey is intended for:
- micro, small and medium-sized enterprises,
- companies developing or manufacturing products with digital elements,
- SMEs at an early stage of CRA awareness as well as those already addressing cybersecurity topics.
No prior in-depth knowledge of the CRA is required. The survey is designed to be accessible and quick to complete.
How the results will be used?
Within the SECURE project, the survey results will support:
- the development of targeted guidance and tools,
- the design of training and capacity-building activities,
- the preparation of future support and funding activities for SMEs
- and coordination with complementary initiatives at European level.
By sharing their perspective, SMEs contribute to ensuring that CRA-related support is practical, proportionate and relevant to smaller organisations.
Participate in the survey
The survey takes only a few minutes to complete. Responses will be handled in line with applicable data protection rules.
